Yin Yoga Teacher Training

Yin Yoga Teacher Training

Hartig Yoga’s Yin Yoga Teacher Training in Australia, held at the beautiful Sacred Waters Healing Sanctuary, near Innot Hot Springs in Far North Queensland.

Friday 21st May – Wednesday 26th May 2027

6 days · 5 nights · Fully immersive training

Set on 80 acres of beautiful land in the Atherton Tablelands, Sacred Waters Healing Sanctuary offers a peaceful setting to immerse yourself in the practice and study of Yin Yoga.

Drawing on the teachings of Bernie Clark and Sarah Powers, this training brings together dedicated practice, thoughtful learning and time to integrate, surrounded by nature.

An opportunity to slow down, deepen your understanding of Yin Yoga, and build confidence in sharing this nourishing practice with others.

This is for those who want to teach Yin Yoga OR those that just love Yin and want to deepen their own practice.

About the course

This 50-hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training explores the practice, philosophy and art of teaching Yin, drawing on the teachings of Bernie Clark and Sarah Powers.

Through daily practice, workshops and discussion, you’ll explore functional anatomy, fascia and connective tissue, and how each person’s unique body shapes their experience of a pose.

We’ll introduce the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the meridian system, alongside the nervous system, breathwork, mindfulness and meditation.

You’ll learn how to create thoughtful sequences and meaningful class themes, adapt poses using props, recognise contraindications, and guide students with clear, supportive language.

With time to practise teaching and integrate your learning, this immersion is designed for both Yoga teachers wishing to confidently share Yin Yoga and dedicated students seeking a deeper understanding of their own practice.

 Sacred Waters

Our training takes place at Sacred Waters Healing Sanctuary, an 80-acre certified biodynamic riverfront property in the Atherton Tablelands, near Innot Hot Springs, Far North Queensland. Surrounded by beautiful nature and native wildlife, it offers the perfect setting to slow down, settle your nervous system and give yourself space to rest and recalibrate.

With its own geo-dome for yoga and sound healing, communal fire pit, access to the Wild River for refreshing swims, and nearby natural hot springs for a warming soak, the venue is a beautiful part of the experience. Accommodation options include spacious camping areas for tents and vans, or shared cabins, hot showers, compost toilets and a communal undercover kitchen and dining area.

I’ve intentionally created this training as a retreat experience, inspired by my own yoga trainings and how special it felt to be fully immersed in learning. Stepping away from everyday responsibilities gives you time to absorb the teachings, connect with others, and experience the practice more deeply, all while enjoying a nourishing break for yourself.
